2010年11月27日，由双流县教育局及重庆亿通公司举办的“亿通杯•感受亲情”英语演讲决赛，如期在双流棠湖中学实验学校隆重举行。

　　来自全县各地区的小学，初中及高中选拔出来的学生代表齐聚一堂，共展英语风采。此次决赛分为预赛决赛两场举行。在上午预赛精彩的角逐中，各组的前5名同学将晋级下午的决赛。下午的决赛更加激烈精彩。分为选手抽题即兴演讲及现场辩论赛。棠外初中参赛学生代表叶知秋同学（初三年级2班）及吴若云同学（初三年级18班）表现优异。叶知秋同学敏捷的思维，流利的口语更是给评委及观众留下了深刻的印象。

　　本次比赛得到了各校师生的一致好评。为来自各地的嘉宾老师展示了双流英语教育的突出成绩。也为同学们日后的英语学习营造了更好的氛围，增加了同学们学习英语的兴趣。

　　最后，棠外学生叶知秋同学获得了本次决赛的第三名。获得由亿通公司提供的奖品“iTouch”MP4播放器一台。吴若云同学获得初中组优胜奖。

　　LOVE IS ENDLESS

　　Good morning everyone. It is my great pleasure to be here to give my speech: love is endless.

　　This is the place where I got my love，This is the place where my dreams bred. The people here love me so much ,the people here teach me so much. This is my happy family. From my parents, I learn love and laughter and how to put one foot before the other.

　　15 years ago, a boy was born in this family ,and that was me. When I found that I was the little guy and everything that was new for me in the world. I felt very worried. How could I grow up in the large, cold, dark and horrible world? I thought I was sure to die in 10 mins. But then ,I saw a face, it was a happy, kind but tired face, it made me stop crying, that time I found the kind woman’s voice is the most beautiful sound in the world. and that was also when I first met my mother. And about the first appointment with my father, it was 3 mins after I met my mother.“ Oh, who’s this stiff guy!” I thought.

　　My family was poor when I was at the age of 1.But my father was hardworking .He went to study in Chengdu and left my mother and me at home. A few months later, my father finished his study and came back to become a doctor .To make our lives better, he is still hardworking. And so does my mother. Because of the endless work, they often left me alone at home. That made me try to solve my problems on my own.

　　Then I had to start my study life. My father and mother were more hardworking than before. They were tired but they never told me. That was the first time I felt how great the love my parents gave me was.

　　Now I’m a Middle school student .I have to face many things alone, whatever is good or bad. But I never feel it’s difficult to deal with them. That’s because of the good education they gave me.

　　I feel I’m very lucky. Because I was born in this great family. I have the greatest parents in the world. Also, every parents are the greatest in the world. So ,we should be thankful to them and study hard now. And never let our parents down.

　　Do you still remember the Wenchuan earthquake on May 12th,2008 that shocked everyone in China, even everyone in the whole world. That day is so clear for me. The ground was shaking, the mountains and rivers were howling, the persons were running and crying……I was very worried about my parents. But when I went to the school gate, I only saw my mother. Do you know why, because my father is a doctor. He has told me not my mother and I, but also the patients are his relatives. So ,I know why he didn’t come with my mother. After coming back home, my mother and I went to the hospital where my father worked. And did something we can. I dared not face what lay before me. I still remember an ocean of faces that betrayed their grief. I still remember an ocean of hands that were covered with wounds. I still remember an ocean of shouts that suggested they never gave up.

　　Because of the earthquake ,I found our society is also a family, and it is a big family. We can also make our family better. If we contribute more and love each other more, this family will be more harmonious.

　　Family love is one of treasures in our life. It is like a bottle of wine, the longer it is kept, the better it will be .
