随着经济国际化全球化的发展，课程改革需求对英语教师的教育教学知识、技能、水平等要求会越来越高，如果教师不注意加强自身的学习，就很难胜任新一轮的课改的需要。于是在学校领导的大力支持以及国际部和研培处的精心组织下，7月12日上午9点，棠外西区一栋底楼18班拉开了英语教学技能培训的帷幕，并特聘请来自澳大利亚福林德斯大学的罗宾教授来授课。学校希望参与本次培训的老师在语音、口语、课堂教学活动、知识能力等方面都有所收获，每位教师自身专业知识能得以提高，从而能为促进整个初中教育教学质量的提高添砖加瓦。

此次培训历时10天，共有三十名英语教师参加培训。在十天的培训中，罗宾教授给大家带来了完全不同的教学体验，专业地讲解了语言习得和教育教学本质。内容涉及了课堂的方方面面，包括英语课堂活动的组织、课堂管理、英语学习的规律，使老师们受益匪浅；虽然正值暑假，天气炎热，但参训老师积极融入课堂，认真地完成了学习任务。

7月22日，在培训班最后一组老师完成小组汇报任务后，此次培训也接近尾声。下午三点，培训班结业典礼在该教室隆重举行，校长助理姚平，国际部主任曾梁一，研培处副主任程德金，初中部英语教研组长陈琳霞等，出席了本次结业典礼。程主任首先发表了讲话，号召棠外英语老师要加强自身学习，提高教学素养，不断完善自我；接着，姚助理赞扬了参训老师不畏酷暑，积极进取的精神，最后由罗宾教授总结此次培训工作，并授予参训老师证书。

本次培训如此成功，我想我们应该不断更新观念，勤于学习,把新的教学理念带入课堂，落实到自己的教学行为上，发扬刻苦钻研精神,互相学习,共同提高，把我校英语教学提高到一个新水平。

Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen:
It’s my greatest honor to be here and make a speech today on behalf of all the Chinese teachers. Time flies! Our fruitful training program is ending! It’s both very good and very bad for all of us! What is good is that we can go home and meet our families, our friends that we are missing. What is bad is that we have to say good-bye to our distinguished friend- Robyn.
The past ten days has been a period of joy and progress. By working together with Robyn, you all have moved a big step forward towards your dream. So congratulations! And at this moment, I am very moved by being able to share your progress which is important to your future career.
So firstly, I’d like to say thank you, Robyn!
Thank you for your wonderful lessons! My fellow teachers say they never felt bored in your class. And they just couldn’t help laughing from time to time.
Thank you for your dedication to training! It will benefit my fellow teachers in their personal growth and development at every teaching stage.
And also, I’d like to say something to my fellow teachers.
First, continue to learning. The knowledge and the methods you’ve learned in the past ten days may not have a close relationship with your real teaching work, on the other hand, in today's society, new knowledge, new problems and innovative ideas are constantly emerging. Therefore, we should have a new habit of looking at problems in different ways and thinking critically and we should live to old and learn to old.
Second, face setbacks. We may not have nothing difficult in sailing our life in the future, we may experience setbacks or failure, but setbacks or failure are not terrible. The key is that we should face up them correctly and learn the lessons to avoid repeating the same mistake.
Third, be broad-minded and open-minded. Since ancient times, successful people are all broad-minded and open-minded. In our work, we should learn from each other and appreciate each other.
Finally, have pioneering spirits to pioneer outstanding performances, seize the opportunity, constantly surpass yourselves, make achievements. Your future is not just a dream.
At this time of saying goodbye, I’d like to say “Goodbye，my friends！Take care，my friends！” I also have four wishes：
